Built a robust encoder–decoder framework for digital watermarking, enhancing multimedia security and tamper resistance. The work focuses on watermark embedding and recovery that survives real-world distortions including JPEG compression, additive noise, and resizing.

Contributions:

  • Designed SSH-Net, a self-supervised hybrid encoder–decoder for noisy watermark removal that requires no paired training data (JVCIR 2025).
  • Implemented bitstream-aware embedding strategies encoding watermark signals within the JPEG compressed representation to improve resilience against re-encoding attacks.
  • Evaluated robustness under structured noise, JPEG re-compression, and combined distortion scenarios.
